New Programs
We continue to test a short version of the site visit report that is prepared and sent via email to the sponsor on the final day of the monitoring visit. The STAT report contains patient enrollment information, items requiring immediate attention and any other significant findings. The email is converted to a PDF, signed electronically and sent as registered email using encryption software for security. The STAT report is followed at a later date with the traditional site visit report.
In 2011, we will introduce voice recognition software to facilitate monitoring by our CRAs. With advances in this technology, CRAs can dictate findings as they review each case report form. The resulting document can also be used to prepare the traditional site visit report, as well as provide important information for the study coordinator and clinical trial manager.
